Professional Experience

 

In 2006 Janielle joined the firm as a Junior Staff accountant and, since then, she has moved through the ranks to Audit Manager. During this tenure at Hobbs, Niles & Co, she gathered expertise in executing audit and accounting engagements in compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards and, to a lesser degree, Candian GAAP.   This experience also spans over a number of sectors including Health Care, Tourism, Construction, Merchandising and Retail, for both local and international business companies, and has required her to partake in a number of overseas assignments.

 

Apart from directly overseeing junior staff, Janielle is also involved in the education and training arm of the firm whereby Janielle attends a number of trainer workshops, and in some cases, executes independent research, to ensure that staff is current and compliant with the relevant audit and accounting standards.  

 

Janielle is also a part of the firm's initiative to ensure that we meet our Corporate Social Responsibility which to date has the firm contributing to a number of charities including Broadway to Barbados (a charity aimed at improving health care services and facilities in Barbados).  However, in tune with a popular saying in Barbados "home drums beat first";  our responsibility also extends to our staff, whereby, we have a number of initiatives such as our Healthy Lifestyle program which Janielle coordinates.
